A SCIENCE BLOG FOCUSING ON BIOMEDICAL LITERATURE
It's Jayden Liang,
A chemical engineering graduate exploring cancer through his lens and sharing what he learns about the research, technologies, and ideas shaping the future of cancer science.

A space to explore cancer science as I prepare to pursue a Ph.D. in Cancer Engineering.

BREAKING DOWN SCIENTIFIC LITERATURE. SHARING RESEARCH. DOCUMENTING MY JOURNEY. PREPARING FOR DOCTORAL STUDIES.

As I prepare for doctoral training, I spend a lot of time reading literature in areas of cancer science that I want to understand more deeply. Rather than keeping those notes to myself, I created this space to translate what I’m learning into writing that anyone regardless of their academic background can follow.I am the first in my family to pursue a degree in STEM, and that has made every step of this journey especially meaningful to me. I hope to continue my education through doctoral training and build a career at the intersection of engineering and cancer science.

Along the way, I want to make the world of research that I am still learning to navigate feel a little more accessible to others, especially those who may not have grown up imagining themselves in science. The Liang Lens is a place for me to share that journey as it unfolds, one paper, one question, and one discovery at a time.
